🌶️ Five-Bean Chili

- ½ cup kidney beans cooked or canned, drained
- ½ cup black beans cooked or canned, drained
- ½ cup pinto beans cooked or canned, drained
- ½ cup cannellini beans cooked or canned, drained
- ½ cup chickpeas cooked or canned, drained
- 1 can 400 g diced tomatoes
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 1 green bell pepper chopped
- 1 tbsp chili spice mix chili powder, cumin, paprika, etc.
- 1 tbsp olive oil optional, for sautéing
Sauté the vegetablesIn a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.Add chopped bell peppers and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly softened. Add beans and spicesStir in all five types of beans and the chili spice mix. Mix well to coat. Add tomatoesPour in the diced tomatoes (with juice). Stir to combine. SimmerBring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hotTaste and adjust seasoning if needed (salt, pepper, more spices).
