  • ¼ cup maple syrup (plus 2 tablespoons for glaze)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the basic bagel dough, adding 1 tablespoon cinnamon and ¼ cup maple syrup during mixing.
  • After the first rise, roll the dough flat, sprinkle with remaining cinnamon and brown sugar, then roll up and reshape into a ball.
  • Shape into bagels, ensuring the cinnamon swirl is visible.
  • Refrigerate, boil, and bake as directed in the basic recipe.
  • While still warm, drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and remaining maple syrup.
